Is there a way to watch live TV on the computer?
I want to watch Saturday Night Live actually live as it is coming on TV because my TV is broken. Is there any possible way I can watch it on the computer live as it is coming on?

i haven’t found a site that does it yet…but if you can wait a day, i go to hulu.com and hulu usually posts new episodes of SNL on their site. The only thing is that some musical performances are omitted for copyright reasons. I love hulu.com…i’m too cheap for cable tv, so that’s how i get by without paying to watch shows that i like.

There are 2 ways at least.
1. Get a TV tuner card. Add a cable TV.
2. Use a software TV – I recommend the first one on this list:

Go for the second option if you have a really fast (at least 1 mbps) Internet connection, because it will be cheaper. Else go for the first one. If you go for the second option then double-check that you do get the channel that you want to watch before you get it.

If you have a TV Tuner card and some way to get the channel on which the program is broadcast (such as a cable set-top box or a satellite box), you could watch and record the show on your computer.
If not, you could use some P2PTV application, but I don’t know of any that get channels from North America other than news and sports (such as ESPN or CNN). Then again, I’ve never searched for United States channels.
