how do i configure my pc to watch movies on tv through the dvd player with an s cable?
ok so i have a toshiba satellite pc and it has an s cable port, although my tv doesn’t have an s cable port, the dvd player does have one and i was thinking that this would be possible but when i hooked it up nothing came up on the screen, i don’t know where to go to on my computer to change the settings to watch my pc monitor on the tv, i understand it needs to be configured i just don’t know where to go to change it, thanks!

The DVD player is usually an output-only device, so you probably cannot connect your laptop to the TV through the DVD. I don’t know what kind of DVD player you have, so I cannot be sure.

It’s designed to connect to TVs that don’t have S-video.
The laptop’s S-video port is output, not input, so you can’t use it to connect the DVD to the computer. You can add a video-capture to it to do that:
