There are 2 options.

1. TV Tuner card. Get from Amazon.

If you want OTA television, you just need a tuner card as you say. You probably want a high def card. You need to connect an OTA antenna to the input on the card. It is as free as any OTA television.

If you live in the boonies and have Directv or something like that, go to weaknees and see if they have what you want.

See the reference in newegg. ATSC is HD, NTSC is standard def. Get one with a remote if you want to play it on your television, that is antenna -> computer -> television.

You will definitely need to buy a TV TUNER. Normally it would cost around $30 – $50. I am using a MSI Tuner Card TV@nywhere Plus I bought it for $32.99 at newegg. It has sweet reviews around the internet and many people seems to like it.

You can watch using the same internet tv that I use. It is a download and there are no monthly fees.

Well there are some that do charge monthly fees but you don’t want that. Digital TV For PC is really cheap and you get like over 2,000 channels. I’ve had it for about a year – and I’ve always been a DirectTV costomuer.

You need no hardware or any equipment. Just download the software and watch all you favourite channels – and no monthly free. Just a 1 time thing. You won’t be sorry…I’m happy after this year and I’ve saved so much money OMG.
