Wrestling fans cannot simply talk about wrestling dvd or wrestling videos without citing or talking about the WWE library because the largest collection of professional wrestling videos and copyrights in the world currently belongs to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

The WWE is currently the largest wrestling organization in the world due to Mr. McMahon’s ability to purchase and buy out out most of his intense competitions in the last 30 years. As a result, the video library now has more than 95,000 hours of wrestling with more contents being added each week with shows such as Monday Night Raw, Tuesday ECW, Friday’s Smackdown, and even house shows not shown on television and the monthly pay-per-views.

The largest wrestling video collection consist of many different events and shows such as its own shows from Capitol Wrestling Corporation dating back to the 1950s, to the old WWF, to the present WWE. Besides wrestling, the WWE also have the rights to any ventures, shows, and events produced by them such as the XFL, cartoon series featuring their wrestling, and movies produced under the WWE license.

Old organizations such as American Wrestling Association, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, and the Jim Crockett Promotions are all part of the video library that the WWE now owns. It is not hard to see why WWE video archive is the largest in the world since all these old organizations help built the tradition and played a major part in the success of professional wrestling.

Perhaps the most impressive collection of the library is that of the Jim Crockett Promotions since it was the major and largest NWA member for the majority of its existence. It later renamed itself WCW in the 1980s until it left the NWA in 1993. In 2001, WWE was able to acquire this library as Vince bought WCW, which contained a significance amount of NWA matches all the way dating to the 1970s to the late 1990s.

If you are a wrestling fan for a while now, You probably have seen superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and so on entertained you from the ring or the locker room countless times. You probably recalled historic moments such as the amazing TLC matches at various PPV events, the chaos and madness of the NWO and Degeneration X, the Extreme Hardcore wrestling, Stone Cold beer bathing his boss, Hogan vs Rock, The Ultimate Showdown, the explosion of Mega Powers, Shawn Michaels betraying and superkicking Marty to becoming the Heart Break Kid, the classic Iron Man Match at Wrestlemania XII,The Rock becoming a movie star in Hollywood, the Undefeated streak of the Undertaker and so much more.

Without the WWE Wrestling Video Archive, wrestling fans would probably have a tougher time reliving and experiencing those great moments again. So the next time you are watching professional wrestling and paying tribute to these wrestlers, remember it is all possible due to the WWE DVD collection!
