Free TV online watching guide
In these bad times of the credit crunch and recession, saving on household costs is welcome. And you can make a start by moving some of your viewing online. Most TV shows and movies can be watched on internet TV. You dont have to cancel Cable or Satellite subscriptions, but you could certainly cut back without compromising your viewing pleasure.
TV viewers from around the world still do not realise that watching full length TV episodes and top films is possible by just using a PC and broadband connections. Just imagine how much you will save over the course of a year if you watch your TV online.
So now your ready, where do you go and what do you do?. You may want to watch the online TV on your PC or connect to your big screen using a video cable, or even stream from your games console.
Where do you find good TV content to watch?
You can pretty much view any episode,movie or sports event online. There are plenty of free TV networks websites around. Just visit the networks Website (see our catch-up tv list) or use a multi show site like Hulu.
What is the picture quality like?
The quality varies depending on several different factors. Most network sites offer great streaming speed and quality. It may not be stunning but it is fine to view. And do not forget many shows are available in HDTV online. Of course you will need a reasonably recent computer and fast broadband connection to watch it.
Can i watch sports online?
Watching the big game is however not so easy to do legally. Although watching clips of the game is possible from video sites, watching the full game and live sports is only available from illegal sites like Chinese P2P networks such as TVants and PPlive amongst others.
So shall i cancel my cable and satellite TV?
It may be a little too early to just cancel your subscriptions and throw out the TV just yet. Internet TV should be seen as a growing service that will get better and better. However it cannot yet totally replace what you can get on your cable or satellite TV deal.
What you can do however is cut down your subscriptions and go on the internet to view more TV and movies. It is after all going to be the future, so get watching online TV.
